Research

The challenge at hand was the transformation of their outdated website, which failed to effectively convey key elements such as knowledge, trust, engagement, and collaboration. Additionally, the existing website suffered from minimal traffic and the impression of being cluttered and disorganized.

The primary goal for the new website was to bring about significant improvements in lead generation and traffic. This required the adoption of a modern, clean, and trustworthy visual identity that would establish a stronger and more favorable online presence.

The goal is to showcase the positive impact of a website redesign on lead generation, user satisfaction, trust, and alignment with business goals.

Problem statement

The existing Think Global Compliance website faced challenges due to being outdated, low traffic, cluttered design, and a lack of professionalism, requiring a comprehensive redesign to boost leads, traffic, and convey a modern and credible identity.

Research

The design process began with thorough research, including competitive analysis, mood board creation to define TGC's identity, and the application of UI/UX principles to ensure alignment with client expectations and project objectives.

The Foundation of Our Approach

Identifying Pain Points:

Limited User Data

During the research phase, we encountered a challenge due to the limited availability of comprehensive user data. This constraint hindered our ability to make data-driven design decisions and gain a deep understanding of user behaviors and preferences.

Outdated Website

The existing website's outdated design posed a significant challenge during our research efforts. An outdated website may not accurately reflect current user needs and expectations, making it difficult to identify areas for improvement without up-to-date user feedback.

Cluttered Design

Another notable pain point identified during research was the cluttered and disorganized one-page format of the previous website. This design complexity necessitated a thorough evaluation of the existing content and structure to determine how best to simplify and enhance the user experience effectively.

Seamless and Intuitive experience

User Flow

During the redesign process, a critical aspect we focused on was improving the user flow. We carefully analyzed how users navigate through the website to ensure a seamless and intuitive experience. This involved:

Mapping User Journeys

We mapped out various user journeys to identify pain points and opportunities for improvement. This helped us understand how users move through the site and where they might encounter obstacles.

Streamlining Navigation

We optimized the website's navigation structure to make it more straightforward and user-friendly. This involved reorganizing menus, categories, and links to ensure users could easily find the information they were looking for

Clear Calls to Action

We placed clear and compelling calls to action (CTAs) strategically throughout the site to guide users toward their desired actions, such as contacting TGC or accessing relevant resources.

Responsive Design

Ensuring that the website was responsive across devices was crucial. We worked to maintain a consistent and efficient user flow regardless of whether users accessed the site on a desktop, tablet, or mobile device.

Ideation

The visual design phase of this project aimed to strike a harmonious balance between modernity and trustworthiness. A meticulously curated color palette was employed to convey professionalism while simultaneously maintaining a welcoming and inviting tone. The incorporation of illustrations and iconography introduced a layer of personality and accessibility to the design.

Clean typography and an abundance of white space were utilized to enhance readability and elegance. The resulting design was fully responsive, ensuring a consistent, user-friendly experience across various devices. This cohesive visual identity left a lasting impression on visitors while reinforcing Think Global Compliance's brand identity.

Sketches

Sketching played a vital role in the creative process, enabling the rapid generation of diverse ideas and continuous refinement, fostering creativity, flexibility, and the emergence of well-informed, meticulously crafted design solutions.

Prototyping

Interactive Prototypes
We created interactive prototypes that allowed stakeholders and users to navigate through the redesigned website as if it were fully functional. These prototypes provided a realistic representation of the user interface and interactions.

Iterative Design
The prototypes enabled us to iterate on the design based on feedback from stakeholders and initial usability testing. We could make adjustments to the user interface and user flow before committing to development, saving time and resources.

Validating design decisions

Usability testing

Incorporating prototyping and usability testing into the design process allowed us to refine the website iteratively and create a final product that was not only visually appealing but also highly functional and user-friendly.

Recruitment

We recruited a diverse group of participants who represented the target audience for Think Global Compliance's services. This included individuals with varying levels of familiarity with the company and its offerings.

Test Scenarios

We developed specific test scenarios and tasks that aligned with the primary user goals on the website. Participants were asked to perform tasks such as finding information about services, contacting the company, or accessing resources.

Observation and Feedback

Usability testing sessions were conducted in a controlled environment, where participants' interactions with the prototype were observed. We encouraged participants to think aloud, providing insights into their thought processes.

Iterative Refinement

Based on the observations and feedback from usability testing, we made iterative refinements to the design and user flow. This iterative process allowed us to address pain points and enhance the overall user experience.

Results

Increase in Leads
The redesigned website experienced a substantial increase in lead generation, which directly impacted the company's business outcomes. This boost in leads signified a considerable success in achieving the project's goals.

Enhanced User Satisfaction
Users expressed a significantly improved level of satisfaction with the website. The clean and modern design, coupled with an intuitive user experience, resulted in a more user-friendly interface. This improvement in user satisfaction was instrumental in enhancing the overall user experience.

Increased Traffic
The new website design was developed with search engine optimization (SEO) in mind. Consequently, it led to a noticeable increase in website traffic, which translated into enhanced visibility and broader reach for Think Global Compliance.

Driving Success through Strategic Design

Conclusion

In conclusion, this project demonstrated the efficacy of combining creative design thinking with fundamental UI/UX principles. The resulting powerful and modern website design led to a substantial increase in leads and heightened user satisfaction. Despite initial challenges, such as the limited availability of user data, the project progressed through multiple iterations, ultimately yielding successful solutions.

Future steps include thorough data analysis to further refine the website's performance and user experience. This case study underscores the pivotal roles of research, thoughtful design, and data analysis in not only meeting user needs but also achieving strategic business objectives.
